The Challenge
When the client came to us with the vision of creating a home perfect for family gatherings, we saw endless possibilities in this rural setting. With energy efficiency as a top priority and the serene rural setting as our backdrop, our designers eagerly set to work, ready to create a space that would be both welcoming and sustainable — a place to live and create memories for years to come.
Our Solution
After working with the client to understand their needs, we opted to blend traditional and contemporary architectural forms, united by a common thread of natural materials woven throughout the design. The home features a bunk room, art studio and shop — extra spaces that add a unique touch, alongside the more traditional areas. It’s a home that truly offers something for everyone, especially when the whole family comes together.
From a technical standpoint, this project encompassed our full range of services — from site build to mechanical engineering. We were thrilled to deliver a high-performance building envelope, complete with solar panels and woodburning mechanical systems. Throughout the process, we focused on sustainability, often using reclaimed, recycled or locally sourced materials. This level of detail always fills us with pride when we can make it happen.
