The Challenge
Like many homes we see in the Madison area, this one had a strong foundation, but felt a bit dated for the client’s needs. While the mid-century modern exterior still held its charm, the real challenge lay in updating the interior to match the home’s timeless appeal with modern sensibilities. It was a perfect opportunity to blend classic mid-century lines with fresh, contemporary updates that build on its existing bones and offer more space and light.
Our Solution
A major gut remodel was exactly what this home needed. Our main goal? To open up the space and introduce flow throughout the home. We started by replacing all of the flooring, setting the stage for a complete transformation. The kitchen was expanded and updated to add functionality and space that makes this a place to linger. We also updated the living room, master suite, and basement to match the new vision to bring the light in while creating a sense of privacy where needed. Finally, we redesigned the front entry to align with the updated style, ensuring that the home’s first impression was as fresh and inviting as its interior.
