The Challenge
This Tudor home has a rich and changing history through several historic renovation projects. The existing residents envisioned a new sunroom to soak in the light and warmth of every season and wanted to address some flaws in a recent kitchen addition — an opportunity we couldn’t pass up to refine and enhance the space. With a deep appreciation for the home's character and the client's vision, we aimed to create something both timeless and tailored to their needs.
Our Solution
After collaborating closely with the client and carefully assessing the home, we saw an opportunity to improve the flow of the whole main floor. The sunroom and kitchen were reimagined, giving us space to expand a small bedroom in the process. By thoughtfully rearranging several ground-floor spaces within the existing footprint, we crafted a solution that felt seamless and intentional.
The new four-season sunroom is a cozy retreat, complete with radiant heat and a fireplace, offering warmth and charm year-round. It connects effortlessly to the dining room, which we opened up to the outdoors through a stunning 10-foot sliding door that leads to a landscaped outdoor kitchen that is designed for entertaining. From the dining room, a custom-built archway invites you into the newly remodeled kitchen, blending function and style in a way that honors the home's character. To top it all off, we designed and built a two-car garage with a versatile bonus room above, adding both practicality and charm to this transformed home.
